Winter lawn care to help prepare for a better spring lawn
The winter is a time when you will spend the least amount of time working on your lawn. There are a several things you can do during the winter that can help you have a beautiful, lush yard once spring gets here.
Fertilizing in the Winter
Late fall and early winter are the best times to fertilize your lawn in the Grand Valley and Aspen areas to help you prepare for spring. Many lawns have grasses that will benefit from this late season fertilization.
Before the first freeze you will need to give your lawn a good fertilization to replace the nutrients that are lost from the soil during the hot summer months here in the grand valley and grand junction area. The fertilizer will remain in your soil and feed your lawn’s roots all winter long helping to give you a nice lush lawn come springtime.
